Keep it free — for everyone, forever

Alhamdulillah: everything in Al Ahillah is complete and free, and the Amanah Pledge means it can never pay for itself with your attention or your data. So it is carried the way the ummah has always carried what it shares — by the people who use it, each giving what they can. This page is that invitation, made in gratitude, not urgency.

What you already have — no catch, no meter

  • Prayer times that actually ring, even when the phone fights back
  • The complete Quran, offline, with translations and recitation
  • Messages and calls, end-to-end encrypted, with no phone number
  • A community mosque directory with living iqamah times
  • Answers from verified scholars — free to ask, free to read

None of it is a trial, and none of it ever becomes one: worship is never gated. If you never give a dirham, Al Ahillah is still fully yours — that is the point of a waqf.

What it costs to run

The apps are built in the open by volunteers, so support does not buy salaries or marketing — it buys infrastructure: the servers that relay encrypted messages and calls, host the mosque directory, and route questions to scholars. At ten thousand users that runs roughly $70–170 a month, and it grows with the number of people praying with it.

The costs are published and the code is open — you can always see exactly what your sadaqah keeps alive.

What your support will never buy

  • It will not remove ads — there are none to remove, for anyone
  • It will not unlock worship — Quran, adhan, Qibla and prayer times are free for every soul, always
  • It will not buy your data back — it was never taken

Giving here is sadaqah jariyah, not a purchase: whoever prays on time or reads an ayah through what you helped fund — we hope its reward reaches you, bi-idhnillah.

Fund the servers

Donation channels are being set up under the project’s waqf entity, so that giving is clean, documented, and fee-free wherever possible. They are not open yet — leave your email and we will tell you the moment they are.

Support that costs nothing

  • Carry it to your people

The masjid, the family group, the Quran circle: one personal recommendation outweighs any ad we would never buy.

  • Build it with us

The client is open source — report bugs, review code, or help translate the app into your language. GitHub ↗

  • Make du’a

For the volunteers who build it and the scholars who answer — sincerely, this is the support we count on most.

May Allah accept it from you and from us.
